Trifacta is looking for talented and dedicated engineers to join our world-class team and build the software that is changing the way our users work with data. We’re growing our team, but we are dedicated to maintaining our flat organization where every engineer has the chance to contribute ideas, influence our direction, and build significant pieces of our codebase and product. We are pioneering data transformation technology and approach engineering with a philosophy that is execution-oriented and iterative, yet also experimental. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with Product Management, Development, and Operations within an agile process to test new features as they’re being developed
- Assist in selecting and modernizing usage of automation tools
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other Quality Engineers
- Build QA automation infrastructure from the ground up with reliable and scalable automated systems that can run complex tests
- Experience working with product and development on acceptance criteria
- Creatively test the product and create clear and articulate bug reports
- Ensure that critical bugs are reviewed and prioritized in advance of releases
- Advocate for testability during the design process, allowing for better automation
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver a high quality product
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience testing distributed systems or databases. Either testing these systems or integrations with these systems (Hadoop ecosystems, databases, etc.) Testing across a variety of vendors is a big plus
- Ability to construct test environments for end-to-end testing, integration testing smoke tests, and performance benchmarks
- Proficiency in a scripting language, additional languages are a big plus
- Experience with Jenkins or similar continuous integration tools
- Solid understanding of Agile methodology and the Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience writing clear and concise bug reports, test plans, test cases, and e-mails
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
